Terms of Service
Welcome to Life in Cards. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the platform.
1. Company Information
Life in Cards is operated by Arca Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17084212). References to “we”, “us”, or “our” refer to Arca Digital Ltd.
2. Service Description
Life in Cards provides AI-powered tarot readings designed for entertainment and self-reflection. Our service uses artificial intelligence to generate tarot card interpretations and spread readings based on your questions and selected cards. The readings are intended to offer a space for personal contemplation and creative insight.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Life in Cards. By using our service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will take steps to remove their account and any associated data.
4. Territorial Availability
5. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including your password and any other authentication methods. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect any unauthorised access to your account, you should change your password immediately and contact us.
6. Payments and Subscriptions
Life in Cards offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period — you will retain access to your paid tier until then.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with at least 30 days' written notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Early adopter pricing, where applicable, is locked in for the duration of your continuous subscription.
If a payment fails, we may retry the charge or downgrade your account to the free tier. We will notify you by email before any downgrade takes effect.
7. One-Off Reading Purchases
In addition to monthly subscription plans, you may purchase a single premium reading on a one-off basis without a subscription. One-off readings are priced per card, shown before payment, delivered immediately upon payment, and are non-refundable. Pricing is detailed on our pricing page.
8. Refund Policy and Cancellation Rights
Important — please read carefully:
Life in Cards provides digital content that is delivered immediately upon purchase. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases.
However, by subscribing to a paid plan or purchasing a one-off reading, you expressly consent to immediate access to the digital service and acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14-day cancellation right once delivery of the digital content has begun.
Except where required by applicable law, all payments are non-refundable. This includes subscription fees, one-off reading purchases, and any partial billing periods. Cancelling your subscription will not generate a refund for the current period — your access continues until the end of the paid period, after which your account reverts to the free tier.
If you delete your account before the end of a paid billing period, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, but no refund will be issued for the remaining period.
9. Fair Use
Accounts on Life in Cards are for individual, personal use only. Account sharing is not permitted. Each user should maintain their own account.
All plans are intended for normal personal use. You must not use the service through automated scripts, bots, or any method that generates requests without genuine human interaction. We reserve the right to limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that generate excessive automated requests or usage that places unreasonable load on the service. For full details, see our Fair Use Policy.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Life in Cards to submit abusive, harmful, or offensive content. You must not attempt to extract harmful, dangerous, or otherwise prohibited content from the AI system. You must not use the service to harass, threaten, or harm others. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who violates these standards of acceptable use.
11. AI System Limitations
Tarot readings on Life in Cards are generated entirely by artificial intelligence systems. AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. No guarantee is made regarding the spiritual insight, predictive accuracy, or reliability of any reading.
Readings are provided for entertainment and personal reflection only and do not constitute medical, legal, financial, psychological, or therapeutic advice. You should not rely on tarot readings to make decisions regarding your health, finances, legal matters, or any other area where professional guidance is appropriate. If you are experiencing a crisis or need professional support, please contact a qualified professional.
12. User Content Licence
By submitting questions, prompts, or other content through the service, you grant Arca Digital Ltd a limited, non-exclusive licence to process, store, and use that content solely for the purpose of generating your readings, providing personalised context across sessions, and operating the service. We do not use your content for advertising, marketing, or to train AI models.
13. Intellectual Property
Reading interpretations generated by Life in Cards are produced for your personal use. You may save, share, or reference your readings for personal, non-commercial purposes. The Life in Cards brand, logo, design, and underlying technology remain the intellectual property of Arca Digital Ltd and may not be reproduced or used without prior written permission.
14. Limitation of Liability
Life in Cards is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any reading or interpretation. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Arca Digital Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Arca Digital Ltd, its officers, directors, and employees from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
16. Service Modifications
We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, including features, pricing tiers, credit allowances, and AI models used for generating readings. We may also perform scheduled or unscheduled maintenance. Where reasonably practicable, we will give advance notice of material changes.
17. Service Closure
If Arca Digital Ltd permanently ceases to operate the Life in Cardsservice or stops trading, we will make reasonable efforts to give you at least 30 days' notice by email.
In the event of a permanent service closure, we will refund the monetary value of any unused prepaid balance remaining in your account at the time of closure. Refunds will be calculated at the rate you originally paid and processed via the original payment method where possible, or by an alternative reasonable method.
Unused monthly subscription credits (which refresh each billing cycle) are not eligible for refund upon service closure, as they form part of your ongoing subscription benefit. However, if you have remaining time on a paid subscription period at the point of closure, we will refund the pro-rata portion of your current billing period.
We will provide instructions for downloading your personal data (readings, profile information) before the service is shut down, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
18. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your account data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
If you delete your own account, no refund is issued for any remaining subscription period or unused purchased credits.
If we terminate your account for a violation of these Terms, any decision to refund unused purchased credits or remaining subscription fees is at the sole discretion of Arca Digital Ltd. We are under no obligation to issue a refund where an account has been terminated due to misuse or a breach of these Terms.
19. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms of Service affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where any provision of these Terms conflicts with your mandatory statutory rights, the statutory rights shall prevail.
20. Communications & Email
By creating an account, you consent to receiving account-related emails from Arca Digital Ltd. These include transactional emails (e.g. signup confirmations, password resets, payment receipts, subscription changes) and important service updates. You cannot opt out of these communications while you hold an active account, as they are necessary for the operation of the service.
During signup, you may also choose to receive marketing communications, including tarot insights, tips, product updates, and promotional offers. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email or by updating your preferences in your account settings.
21. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any legal matters arising from or related to these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
22. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute arising from these Terms of Service or your use of Life in Cards, we encourage you to contact us first so that we may attempt to resolve the matter through good faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached through negotiation, the dispute shall be submitted to the courts of England and Wales.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the service before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
